How Terengganu Got Her Name

Version 1
It Was associated with the discovery of a fang(a sharp teeth) of an unknown species by a group of neighbouring royal hunters. Unable to identify the species, it was unmentioned that the bountiful hunt was near the place where Taring Anu was found.

It was associated with the discovery of a very bright rainbow(Ganu) on the horizon off the coast by a neighbouring royal fleet. It was mentioned that the place of Terang Ganu was a prosperous trading post

Version 3
Sungai Terengganu has 2 branches, one that goes further island(Terenggan Ni) and another one goes down the river estuary. It was mentioned that trade flourishes in a down stream towards Terenggan Nu. So many inland traders go through that Terenggan (Terenggan Nu) and hence the name.
